About Melissa Martin

Melissa is a South Australian born writer with a background in creative writing, public relations, marketing and psychology. 

She has 15 years of experience and knowledge in strategic communication and marketing across large agencies, from transport and infrastructure, to environment and education.

Her qualifications in creative writing and psychology fuelled her love of strategic storytelling, which carves out meaning for people to connect. She is currently completing a Master of Communication to keep fresh in the field.

All her passions of psychology, storytelling and creativity slammed together when she published her first children’s book in 2019 called Anxious Edie – a picture book about anxiety management for kids.
